A Perfect Day Living in Vegas!

Welcome to Las Vegas! Now that you’re a resident of Las Vegas, Summerlin, Paradise, Henderson, or one of our fun and very livable communities, we’d love to show you around.

And there’s no better way to do that than to describe your perfect day, from sunup to evening enjoying your new life. There’s no time to waste so let’s get started!

Wake up early

If it’s summertime, I suggest you wake up at dawn (or before for you super-early risers!) to take advantage of the cooler temperatures. That’s something you’ll see living in Nevada, and construction workers, road crews, movers, etc. often start in the wee hours of the morning to beat the heat.

But we have a lot to do today, starting with one of life’s essential functions that should take up around 40 hours of your week. No, I’m not talking about hitting the office and your job, but golf!

Fore!

An early tee time is a blessing in Las Vegas for five or six months out of the year, but all through the winter when it’s too cold and rainy to golf in many parts of the country, you’ll be teeing off into fantastic dry dessert climates.

You have plenty of amazing courses to choose from, as Las Vegas was named the #3 city for golf in the entire US, but I’d say Palm Valley in Summerlin or Bali Hai Golf Club are two you’ll love.

Brekkie

After playing 18, it’s time for coffee and breakfast, and you can’t go wrong as breakfast is a vital part of recovery for all-night gamblers (and drinkers). But far from the Strip, try Lulu’s Bread and Breakfast or Makers & Finders Coffee in Summerlin. Speaking of coffee, get your java fix at PublicUs or Sambalatte Boca Park – but you’ll never have to hit a Starbucks again!

Park it

Next, it’s time to circle back home to change your shoes and pick up your dog, because you’re going to hit one of the area’s scenic parks for a little recreation time. You have plenty or choose from, but I suggest trying Garden Park in Summerlin, where you can jog, play tennis, basketball, sit on a bench and read, and meet and greet plenty of your neighbors.

Of course, for bigger outings, bring your mountain bike and hit Red Rock Canyon, or Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is fantastic, too.

Shopping without buying

No, I’m not directing you to a typical mall, but to Downtown Summerlin, which is an outdoor plaza with a special mix of shops, restaurants, cafes, art galleries, fairs and festivals, live music and events. There’s nothing like have a stroll through Downtown Summerlin to meet old friends or make some new ones!

Time for the Raiders game!

Oh, did we mention that it’s Sunday and the Raiders are playing? Head out to 3333 Al Davis Way in Las Vegas (I’m serious!) to find the state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium and support the black & silver as they crush the competition!

Fine dining to top off the perfect day

After the Raiders game easy win, you’ll have worked up an appetite, so it’s time to go from pigskin to white tablecloths with some of Las Vegas’ best restaurants. There are way too many to name, as Las Vegas has some of the best eateries and chefs in the world, but try Flock and Fowl, Honey Salt, and S.W. Steakhouse, for starters.
